The cameras from Sky Television will be at Mount Pleasant for the second time in a row next friday as Batley Bulldogs take on high flying Catalan Dragons in the Sixth Round of the Challenge Cup.
In a cup tie that must rank as a dissappointment for the Dogs, Sky will give the team exposure at least, and this is the most that can be hoped for. The Dragons, currently second in the Superleague are in top form, and anything but a win for them would be a sensation. In spite of the pedigree of Batley’s opposition though, a big payday for the Dogs is not to be expected, as the French team only take a handfull of supporters to away games.
In an attempt to fill the ground the Batley Bulldogs have reduced the admission prices for this game to £10 for adults and £1 for children.
The televising of this tie however gives the Bulldogs the chance to present themselves to a wider public and enhance their reputation as a well run and likeable club.
