Salford Red Devils, desperate to reach the million pound game, were in no mood to let Batley into the match in order to give John Kear the send off that he so deserved, as they ran in 8 tries against the Bulldogs 3 to win the match 14-42.
In spite of the scoreline however, the Bulldogs gave another good account of themselves as they won the second half playing downhill at least, and John Kear was a proud man after the match.
