Batley 18 Dewsbury 16
Match
Mount Pleasant was the scene of this years traditional boxing Day friendly between Batley and Dewsbury, giving both coaches the chance to give the new signings a run out.
The last meeting between the two sides at this venue took place on 17th August 2014 when Dewsbury ran in a 16-14 victory against rivals Batley. In fact Dewsbury won both Championship matches (also winning 43-10 at the Tetley’s Stadium in April) in what was a difficult season for the Bulldogs after having to incorporate a number of new faces onto the team due to a good number of the old faithfuls leaving the club.
This time however, it was the Bulldogs that narrowly took the accolades in a match that promises much for both teams in the 2015 season.
