Determined Dogs beat Hawks in last pre-season friendly
In the last pre-season warm-up, Batley Bulldogs ran in 7 tries against Championship 1 outfit Hunslet Hawks. In front 455 vociferous spectators Batley scored their third consecutive win in the run-up to the next Championship season. Wayne Reittie got a hat trick of tries, Gledhill, Sam Scott, Ainscough and Leak got one a piece.

Next week the Bulldogs host a Leigh side still shellshocked by the resignation of coach Paul Rowley, and if Batley have a chance to impress against the promotion favourites, then it surely is now.
