18. March 2018 15:00 Fox's Biscuits Stadium Batley Bulldogs – Leigh Centurions |
4 - 8 |
Batley’s campaign in the Challenge Cup 2018 sees them host a crisis-ridden Leigh side, who have lost 5 of their first 6 games in the Championships 2018 after being relegated from Super League the previously year. Ironically their only victory as yet, was against the Batley Bulldogs at the Leigh Sports Village in February. Matt Diskin and his team will be keen to put this right this afternoon, whereas Leigh Caretaker Coach Kieron Purthill will be looking to use the opportunity find some form for his team.
In an added twist, the weather will certainly be a bit of a leveller after fresh snow over Mount Pleasant got supporters out in their droves this morning to make sure the match goes ahead. Kudos to all involved!!
The game is ON. The pitch is fine with just a covering of snow. We are clearing the surrounding areas.
