Bulldogs to take part in The Great Get Together

Batley Honour Jo Cox on June 18th with free entry.

There will be free entry to Batley’s next match at The Foxs Biscuits Stadium as the Bulldogs honour the late Jo Cox who was brutally murdered last year. The weekend from June 16th to 18th marks the first anniversary of the death of the former MP for Batley and the Jo Cox Foundation will be staging “The Great Get Together”, where people are encouraged to organise get togethers for theoir friends and neighbours.

Already there are more than 100,000 events taking place over the weekend, and Batley Bulldogs chairman Kevin Nicholas has announced on the Total RL forum that the Bulldogs will also play their part:

We are working with her family and The Great Get Together and # More in Common to mark this sad occasion by helping to encourage everybody to come together as one Community especially with other terrible events that have followed since last year.

The Championships Match Batley Bulldogs v. Sheffield Eagles will take place on Sunday June 18th, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the Foxs Biscuits Stadium as part of the Great Get Together. The festivities include a local band and start at 1:00 p.m.

Entry is FREE
