The Batley Bulldogs won the match against Swinton Lions at the Foxes Biscuits Stadium in difficult conditions against the Swinton Lions yestarday in spite of being behind for most of the game. It was the Lions, playing down the slope in the first half, who took the initiative with an early try from Shaun Robinson before Jack Murphy got a second to put the Lions up by 10-0. Dave Scott got one back for the Bulldogs to make it 6-12 at half time.
In the second half it was the Lions from Swinton who again opened the scoring to go into a 6-18 lead, but the Bulldogs hit back and put the Lions under intense pressure. Another try from Dave Scott and two from Macauley Hallett against his old team however made sure that the Bulldogs kept the points at the Mount.
