Bulldogs demolish Hunslet to finish season on a high
Nine different players ran in tries as Batley finished the season on a high note with a 60 point demolition of an already relegated Hunslet Hawks.
Batley saved arguably their best seasons performance until the last match to give the fans up at the Foxes Biscuits Stadium something to talk about. Ainscough and Alex Brown both got a brace of tries, whereas Leatherbarrow, Southernwood, Reittie, Squires Gledhill, Nicholson and Craven all crossed over once. Leatherbarrow kicked 7 and Bretheton 1 as the Bulldogs ran up the highest score of the season. With now 110 points scored in the last two home games, the Bulldogs however hit form a little too late to make any further impression on the Championship Shield. It does however show what Batley are capable when all are fit and on board.
