Batley Victory in Cumbria keeps top four hopes alive

Greg Minikin scored his first try for the Bulldogs, as Batley ran in 31-24 winners at Derwent Park, Workington, leapfrogging Halifax in the table and thus keeping their hopes of a top four spot alive. Other scorers in a tight tussle with a Workington team, who’s performance belied their position at the foot of the table, were Luke Blake, Alex Brown, Dave Scott and Al Leak. Dom Brambani scored five with the boot and Pat Walker also dropped a goal.
